Pet Peeves: Info-modding/God-modding. If you're familiar with DtB canon, that doesn't necessarily mean your character is. If they're telepaths or walking lie-detectors, please PM me before they spring an AHA! during threads with Hei. Likewise, if your character prefers their identity kept secret, Hei will not discover it without you, the mun's, permission. I'm always amenable to discussing these matters beforehand.
Random: Warniiiiing. I love tl;dr. I am also a pretentious angster, so expect... pretentious angst in most srs threads.  

Mindreading: I'd prefer not having his mind pried into. Hei is extremely strong-willed, but he has no telepathic defenses. If you do peek, don't expect passivity or blankness. Hei's brain is a quick and sharp thing -- composed of strong convictions and strong emotions. Pockets of his memory will contain gory flashes of Pai and Heaven's War. 
Fighting. Highly skilled at hand-to-hand combat. Stealthy. Flexible. Strategic. He has the ability of monomolecular manipulation, which allows him to control electricity on various scales. The technique can work with all possible ranges. As long as an object is a conductor of electricity, the current can pass through it, making indirect attacks possible. Additionally, this allows him to literally cut the flow of electricity in a body, and stop a victim's heart. The result leaves no evidence to a cause of death. He can also use electric volts to erase short-term memory. His secondary ability is to alter matter at the quantum level. His sister, from whom he's inherited this power, used it to wipe out a large portion of South America. At a small-scale level, he can use it to defuse bullets in guns, as evidenced in the manga.

Injuring Your Character: Hei is a Combat Pragmatist. And a coldblooded jerkass. He will not hesitate to injure or kill -- irrespective of age or gender -- if he is threatened. if you'd rather avoid this, drop me a line~
 
Intelligence: As far as Contractors go, he's more emotionally-driven than most. Because he isn't a real Contractor. However, he's rarely irrational or shortsighted.  He makes use of both his intellect and intuition to resolve a crisis. Pai/Yin, and remotely harming them, equals hitting his Berserk Button.
Romance: Hei doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. Between growing up in a warzone, garnering a fearsome bodycount and keeping an eye on Pai, he didn't have time for dates. On the plus side (?) he's more closed-off than emotionally stunted. With time -- and countless therapy sessions -- maybe he'll recover. M a y b e.
Ships: In-canon, I hardcore ship Amber/Hei and Yin/Hei. In-game, Hei is currently in a relationship (by relationship I mean making each other miserable) with Korra anatural.  
Sexual: He's a pragmatist to the core. If he needs sex to gain information, or for his own wellness, he'll have it. He's also likely to have less inhibitions than the average person, since Contractors don't appear to feel shame or guilt. However, self-serving as he is, don't expect flowers or candy. 
Non-Consensual/Dub-Con: Tell him to fuck off, he'll likely fuck off. Unless you have something important he needs. Best to avoid him if he's hit by a curse, though :|
Orientation: Heterosexual. Appears to have had a relationship with Amber, during Heaven's War. Also has a rather intense fixation for Pai. (To the point where Amber remarks on how they're "always together...like lovers.")  Beyond that, he's so Oblivious To Love it's creepy. Considering the signs, it's possibly severe PTSD.
Physical Contact: Not recommended. Unless he initiates first. No hugs or kisses. Or surprise glomps. It won't go down well.


Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Hei, in his 'Li' persona, prefers not to stand out. Timid, clumsy, bland -- he's the epitome of the Everyman. However, every move of Li's is choreographed. An actor putting on a performance. The moment he reverts to the Black Reaper, the change is palpable.  His expression, his tone, his very air, holds an imposing confidence. He's not one to mince words. Or bother with social niceties. That said, most of his reconnaissance is done as 'Li'. Unless he's involved in combat, 'Li' is the mask you'll likely see.
Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses? No. But apparently he can't get allergies? Idefk - stares at canon - 
Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way? Subtly. He has human functions, but the supernatural ability of molecular manipulation. Beyond that, he has a physical durability that comes from years of experience in-field.
Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? Dark and sharp. Cold, with a hint of ozone. The astute may also notice a 'duality' in his aura -- as if it belongs to two people, not one. This is a result of Pai having fused her life-force with him, years back. 
Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)? He's rational and highly in-control. But still human. Why not?
What sort of crimes is the character prone toward? Assassination. Contract killing. (Attempted) consensual homicide. Depraved-indifference murder. Assault and battery. Larceny. Mayhem. Conspiracy. Kidnapping. False pretenses. Blackmail. Pseudocommando. Attempted (so very badly!) sororicide. Torture murder. Crimes of passion. Accessory to murder. Proxy murder. Child murder. Genocide. Lolicon. And others that I can't remember.
What are his cardinal sins? Gluttony. Wrath. Pride.
