[ Hei's booted toes dig into the dusty floor. He pushes deeper into her even as she lets him sink all the way in, and it forces all his breath out. Fuck. It's like being swallowed by a sea-hydra, mouth and limbs and deep inside her -- a hot slippery pressure that rips all logic apart. His slow exhale borders on a groan as he winds an arm around her waist, pulling her roughly against the arch of his body, forcing hers into the same bend. ]
[ He feels in his spine the weight of restraint, even as he begins a deep rolling fuck, grinding against her, pressing kiss after kiss to Korra's throat until he finds the heavy thub of her pulse. There he bites, hard sucking the skin between his teeth before he drops all reservations, stepping from a rhythm that's steady to straight-up brutal, like the beating of his heart. Building, building, building. Merciless. ]
[ He wants to incite her past the last scraps of self-control. Wants to watch her beat for beat until she's flying apart against him. It's still early, and he has all the time he needs. ]
[It won't be long at this rate. Once he's inside, her hand moves to her clit, rubbing it hard in time with his hips. She grips his hair with her other hand and wraps her legs around him. A wild energy thrums through her veins, threatening to rip her apart and the only thing she can think is now. This isn't a pace that's meant to be savored.
Come on come on come on! She digs her nails into his head and grunts, wordless but far from silent encouragement to keep going, push faster, bite harder.
And then finally -- finally -- she tips over, spills, tumbles screaming over that cliff.]
[ It other circumstances, it'd almost be barbaric. Too fast, too frenzied, and they may as well be masturbating for all the interaction they give each other. But right now, clothes half-off, half-on, on the cold floor like animals, it's perfect. The elevator is silent and cool and it's filthy; the hitches in breath and grunts and the sounds of slick friction. With her legs grappled around him, her hand working furiously between their bodies, Hei lets her coax him to the rhythm she wants: faster, faster, filling her with pressure and heat. ]
[ In the gloom, her eyes are bright and unseeing as she comes. He feels every spasm, every ripple, her heat a knock-out, soft skin and those needy sounds and her breathless mouth. All for him, delicious and perfect. He keeps moving, full-length strokes that mash his pelvis against hers, a growl trapped in his throat as he crashes into a kiss, all teeth and tongue. Not slowing, stretching it out for her -- and if she gets oversensitive she can always dig her heels and nails into his back to slow him down. ]
[Her limbs tremble as her climax fades, but Hei isn't slowing down and she isn't down for the count. Sucking hot and hard on his tongue, she extracts her hand, sticky with her own come, and reaches down to cup and fondle his balls. Not something she's tried before; she doesn't know what reaction she'll get.]
[ Hei makes his approval known on a hum into her mouth, low and throaty. His body vibrates at a precariously high frequency. Shuddering, he drives against Korra so that she feels every tremble and pulse, angling his thrusts to grind against that part of her that makes her hips jerk instinctively. He can feel the urgency building in the way his own body reacts to her touch, the clench of his stomach, the intensifying force that gives way to a rapid-fire rhythm -- and suddenly he curses the elevator's cramped space. ]
[ His lips move against hers, hungry and rough and bruising; he splays his palm against the hollow of her lower-back, and his breath is hot at her neck when he pulls away. ] Hold on to me, [ is all the warning she gets before he hauls her up, forcing her legs to wrap around his waist as he -- without so much as another beat -- rises to pin her against the wall. Supporting her weight in widespread hands, he rocks against her. Hard, harder -- letting her back saw up and down the surface, his breath sawing in and out in shaking gulps to match as he buries his face in her neck. ]
Wah! [She doesn't have time to hold on, but he pulls her up against the wall too quickly for it to matter. The friction of her back against the wall stings and his pace is beginning to cross the line from pleasure to pain. She buries her nose in his hair and clenches tight around him, trying to give him whatever extra stimulation he needs to reach that peak.]
[ The climax is a live wire, red and bright and buzzing as it whirrs through the back of Hei's mind, coiled tight enough to snap any minute. He lets Korra hang from his shoulders, everything in her flexing and tightening deliciously around him as he drives into her with force, tight and rapid, jouncing her against the cold wall. He can hear himself gasping, letting out short rhythmic grunts against her neck. Each thrust hits just so, reverberating through his body, bringing him to the edge, closer and closer. ]
[ Lifting his head, he catches her mouth with his. Kisses her so hard his own lips tingle on the edge of numbness, taking her deep between each gasping breath. Rocking up into her wet heat, once, twice, thrice, and then letting that wicked spasm drop-kick him, its epicenters twinning in mind and groin, make him tense and shudder as his mind unravels. ]
Fuck.
[ It's a slurred secret; all breath. His damp forehead rolls against Korra's as he takes deep snuffing breaths. His eyes meet hers in the dark, half-lidded, and he lowers her carefully until her heels touch the ground. For a minute he's wobbly as a toddler. God. ]
[Korra winces a little as he sets her down and she sinks against the wall for support. Her limbs are trembling but she doesn't feel tired -- just deliciously relaxed. The tension that's been building up, poisoning her system, has finally been released.
She brushes the hair from his sweaty forehead and leans forward to lightly brush his swollen lips with hers.]
Not bad. [wry grin] Not a hotel room, but not bad.
[ He takes the kiss on a low purl, biting lightly at her lower-lip before he draws away. His mouth is pitched at an angle too crooked to be a proper smile, but he seems younger, somehow, the tension momentarily gone from his jaw. ] I'll remember that, next time I want to meet up in a haunted building.
[ Stepping back, he makes short work of knotting up and discarding the condom, before he sets his clothes to rights. The dim elevator light, stripes of moonshine and guttering shadows, is forgiving. But he knows he and Korra will resemble zombie movie refugees in good light -- smudged in dirt, hair tangled like birds' nests, skin welted and bruised in places. Scrubbing both hands through his wild hair, he tries to smooth it down. A sneeze catches him mid-breath. A moment later, he hears a sibilant croon. ]
Bless you~
[ Every part of Hei's body goes cold. He fights a queasy lurch in his gut. Without looking at Korra, he asks, ] That wasn't you, was it? [ Except he already knows the answer. ]
A haunted building? [Dude. You could have mentioned that earlier. Korra stops in the middle of pulling on her pants and glares at his back. He may not believe in ghosts, but she does (communicating with ghosts is part of the Avatar's job description, even if she is no good at it).
She rolls her eyes and slips on her shoe, contemplating the best way to suggest they find a hotel for another round. She still has plenty of energy to work off.
Suddenly sex is the last thing on her mind.
She doesn't bother answering Hei's question; it's obvious. Instead, she addresses whatever's there.]
[ No, Hei doesn't believe in ghosts. But he also knows it's not in anyone's best interest to engage in conversation with a disembodied voice. Korra's Who are you? gets a blistering glare from him in the darkness, even as he reaches for the elevator's controls. There's no response from the voice. But it's only then that he becomes aware of a faint stirring -- like a chorus of whispers rising and falling through the elevator shaft. It's loudest on the floor above. ]
[ Lifting his gaze, Hei squints through the wire-mesh, where pinpricks of color resolve themselves to his vision. Countless pairs of glowing eyes. It's like spotting wild animals in the nighttime forests of the Amazon -- first one set, then another, then another. Too many to count. The whispering comes from them, too variegated to decode into speech, and Hei can see dozens of tiny bodies crawling along the length of the shaft, peering at him and Korra with glinting eyes. ]
[ The lift is a cage. Surrounded by crawlers. ]
We had an audience. [ Flat, almost toneless, despite the burn of adrenaline. He hits the mechanism to make the lift descend. The floor rumbles and the gears creak as they sink painstakingly lower. He just hopes the creatures don't drop down onto the mesh and attack them. ]
[Korra feels his glare but doesn't care. She doesn't see the point of pussy-footing around it. When she doesn't get an answer, she reaches down and grabs her shirt and bra. She doesn't put them on yet, not wanting to be tangled up if there's a fight.
Her gaze follows Hei's up.]
Yeah. I see that.
[She shifts her stance, ready to defend herself. (Not thinking about whether or not physical attacks will even work.) She doesn't take her eyes off of the glowing forms.]
[ There's a sharp recrimination clamoring through Hei's mind. This is what you get for coming here. The lift subsides lower, lower, but still the creatures hover on the encircling staircases, eye-glowing, whisper-creeping. The quiet menace coming off of them -- more than menace, outrage and affront -- is palpable. ]
[ Beside him, he senses Korra step into battle-mode. His own isn't quite so apparent; how can it be, when it's a default state? He flexes the fingers of his hands, keeping his cold gaze fixed on the illumination of those eyes. ]
[ When the lift touches the bottom floor, Hei yanks the rattling door open. ] Let's go. [ He doesn't take her arm. But he does usher them down the echoing passageways and drafty chambers at a fast clip. When they're at the ruined doorway, he nudges Korra out. But he doesn't make it after her. (Later, analyzing and retracing the scene, he'll remember a piercing cold that catches him in the chest like a blow. The floor seems to give way under him. Not give way -- melt -- and swallow him as if in a viscid pool of black. A million cold fingers -- feelers? tentacles? -- pluck him, handle him. Spreading dread and disquiet.) ]
[ (It's midnight, a voice croons, and it seems right by his ear. There's something else it says, something else he feels. But he never knows what. Darkness engulfs him.) ]
[ To Korra, it'll seem as if he was right behind her. That he vanished in an eyeblink, right when she stepped out of the building. ]
[Korra whirls around, but he's not there. There's no sign of him anywhere. He wouldn't have -- No, he would have. But he couldn't have. She'd only taken her eyes off him for a moment.
She quickly puts on her bra & shirt, distantly grateful that no one's around to see her topless. Mostly she's worried.
Where did Hei go?
She heads back to the house. Whatever happened to him happened in that house. But something inside her stops at the threshold. It's not fear. Fear won't stop her from trying to save someone. It's just a feeling, almost like the times when Avatar Aang communicated with her.]
Fine.
[She steps slowly back from the house, and then jogs off. She'll do a quick pass through the area, in case Hei really had just bolted faster than her. You know that's not what happened. If those spirits actually had taken him...she'll figure out something.]
